Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 16, 2026 · Donna is made by Akralis Design Studios LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy covers the Donna iOS application and this website.

What Donna is

Donna is an intelligent task management app, built for busy and cluttered minds. You give it all the things in your mind by performing a brain dump and it helps you organize them, and more importantly, focus on the OneThing that matters at that moment. Everything Donna collects exists to provide that service to you, and nothing else.

Information we collect

Account information — your email address and a Donna user ID, used to create and secure your account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the email address they return.
Content you provide — brain dumps, tasks, commitments, check-in responses, notes, and preferences you enter in the app, and what Donna works out from them. To sort a brain dump and pick your One Thing, Donna sends that content to Anthropic (Claude) and Voyage AI through our own servers. Both process it only to provide the service and under terms that prohibit using it to train their models.
Voice input — if you brain dump by voice, iOS speech recognition turns it into text, and the audio may be processed by Apple's speech recognition service. Donna keeps the transcript, not the recording.
Calendar availability — only if you connect a calendar (see the next section). Donna reads when you are busy, never what you are doing.
Subscription status — if you subscribe to Donna Pro, Apple handles the payment. We receive your subscription status, not your card details, through RevenueCat, keyed to your Donna user ID.
Usage analytics — app-usage events via TelemetryDeck: which screens and features are used, as event names and rounded values, never the content of your tasks or calendar. These events carry your Donna user ID and a hashed device identifier, so they are linked to your account. We use them only to understand which features help and which don't, and never for advertising.
Website analytics — aggregate visit counts for this website, also via TelemetryDeck, so we can see how many people read a page. There are no cookies and no fingerprinting: TelemetryDeck works from a temporary identifier that changes daily, so it can't recognize you tomorrow or on any other site. We only ever see totals, and a website visit is never linked to a Donna account.

Calendar data

You can connect Apple Calendar or Google Calendar so Donna only nudges you when you're free, never in the middle of a meeting. For that, Donna uses only your free/busy time ranges. Event titles, descriptions, locations, and attendees stay on your phone: they are never sent to our servers or to our AI providers, and they are not stored anywhere by Donna.

If you connect Google Calendar, Donna requests read-only access (the calendar.readonly scope) for that one purpose. Donna cannot create, modify, or delete your calendar events, and we do not read email, contacts, files, or any other Google data.

Limited Use disclosure: Donna's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, Google user data is:

Never sold to anyone;
Never used for advertising of any kind;
Never used to train generalized AI or machine-learning models;
Never transferred to third parties, except as necessary to provide the app's features (secure cloud storage, below), to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with prior notice to you;
Never read by humans, except with your explicit permission (e.g., a support request), for security purposes, or to comply with law.

You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in the app's settings, or revoke Donna's access directly from your Google Account permissions page. Upon disconnection, Donna stops reading your calendar and discards the connection.

How your data is stored

Your data is stored with Supabase, our cloud database provider, and is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to your authenticated account. We retain your data only as long as you maintain an account.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Our analytics are cookieless by design — that's why you won't find a cookie consent banner here.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the service providers necessary to run Donna, each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us: Supabase (database and authentication), Anthropic and Voyage AI (processing your content to sort it and pick your One Thing), RevenueCat (subscription status), TelemetryDeck (usage analytics), and Apple (payments and, if you use voice input, speech recognition). None of them may use your data for advertising or sell it.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app: Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate. Your brain dumps, commitments, history, memory, and account are removed, and any Sign in with Apple or Google connection to Donna is revoked, so nothing about you remains on our servers. If you can no longer sign in, email support@donna-app.com from your account email and we will delete it for you within 30 days.

Children

Donna is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
